Brandefy

OUR MISSION:

Meg Pryde founded Brandefy when she discovered that all the beauty products out there had the same ingredients in them, but there were 2 major differences: the brand name and the price.

Following her instinct that this was wrong, she created an app that allowed her community to engage, share tips, and make informed purchases. To further help beauticians get the best value out there, see created her own Brandefy skincare line.

Brandefy came to Varfaj to revamp its e-commerce presence on Shopify 2.0 and implement a subscription program for the Brandefy Besties.

GOALS


1. Introduce a recurring revenue model by implementing a Recharge subscription program.

2. Improve conversion rate, specifically for mobile users.

3. Optimize the store for site speed to ensure that customers have the best possible experience.

IMPLEMENTATION


First things first, we needed to overhaul the existing site from the current page builder infrastructure. We replatformed the website to Shopify 2.0 for several reasons:


1. Shopify 2.0 is the new industry standard for e-commerce stores.

2. We wanted to create a subscription program and Recharge did not play nice with the existing page builder.

3. Finally, the page builder did not allow for mobile optimization of images which drastically slowed down the site speed.

By migrating to Shopify 2.0’s JSON templates and theme editor, we were able to blend easy content management with robust capabilities Brandefy needed out of its store.


And the results speak for themselves...

RESULTS

  • 13% increase in Month over Month revenue post launch.

  • Total Orders increased by 12%.

  • 12.5% increase in revenue per session.
